Show Notes

Welcome to “The Coaching Badges Podcast” a new show dedicated to coaching & coaches everywhere. Whether you are a young coach just starting out on your coaching journey or a seasoned veteran scarred from your coaching battles, we hope this Pod is for you.

Our objective is simple, lets chat about coaching, share our stories & experiences. Let’s listen, laugh & learn from each other. Remember, there is no one right or wrong way, by there is always a better way……

I’m Gavin Teehan, founder of the Coaching Badges Twitter page @coachingbadges & a football coach with experience of coaching at every level of the game for the last 15+ years. Joining me on the show is my friend & co-host Mark Anderson. Together with our regular show contributors Paul O'Reilly, Willie Tyrrell, Mick Brown & guests, we hope to bring you new ideas & insights to add to your coaching locker.

This show is for coaches of all levels of experience, knowledge & qualifications. Whilst our own background is mainly football…. we want to chat to coaches of all sports & know that we can help each other to become better at what we do.

We set this show up because we talk about coaching all the time informally & some of the best coaching nuggets I’ve ever learned (and indeed stolen) have come from fellow coaches just chatting about random football stuff.

This Podcast aims to find more of these nuggets and to share the knowledge with coaches everywhere who are interested in being open minded & increasing their personal learning.

Over the coming weeks and months, we hope to have coaching guests on the Pod all with a variety of stories to tell. We aim to have people on from grassroots coaching right up to the pro game, from different sporting and nonsporting back grounds. If we can all learn one new thing every time we listen to someone else, we will increase our collective coaching knowledge vastly over the next few months.
